Our
Story
A Bold Experiement
This isn't the first time we've done it, but by creating a permanent group of 10,000 it will be the last.
Forty years ago, in December 1983, a similar event was held with over 7,000 participants in the Taste of Utopia Assembly at Maharishi International University in USA, which produced a measurable effect of positivity and harmony in world consciousness at that time. Not only will this assembly create an immediate impact on world events, but it will lay the foundation for establishing a permanent group of 10,000 for lasting world peace. You're invited to be a part of this extraordinary gathering.
Mind and Body
During this fourteen-day course, you'll be a part of something bigger than your self. Extensive scientific research has shown that when a large enough group practices the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program together, it creates a profound shift in global consciousness. During this course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the Transcendental Meditation® technique (for those not yet practicing) and gain knowledge about the advanced programs, take classes on health and well-being, learn Yoga Asanas, a set of exercises to enliven Mind-Body coordination, and a breathing technique called Pranayama, which settles the physiology in preparation for transcending. You'll even learn TM on the course if you haven't already!
The Transcendental Meditation technique is the most widely practiced, thoroughly researched, and extensively applied program of personal development in the world. It is a simple, natural, effortless procedure practiced 20 minutes twice each day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed.
Hundreds of published research studies have found the TM technique to be highly effective for stress-related conditions, brain function, and cardiovascular health.
Breathing
Pranayama is a simple breathing technique, which allows the mind to come to rest and puts the body in a relaxed state, especially before meditation. Alternate nostril breathing (sukh pranayama) is a traditional practice that balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and calms the whole nervous system. Coherence is produced between the left and right sides of the brain. At the same time, energy reserves are activated, one feels physically very light and clear in mind.
Yoga Asanas
Learn to relieve stress, develop flexibility and youthfulness, improve sleep, balance digestion and weight, and deepen the experience of silence and expansion of consciousness through these Maharishi Yoga Asanas. Whether expert or beginner, these sessions provide the most authentic and profound understanding and practice of yoga asanas.
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, was an Indian physicist who became a monk in the Himalayas under the tutelage of Shankaracharya Brahmananda Saraswati, the most revered representative and highest authority on Veda and the Vedic Tradition, the ancient knowledge from where yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and many other disciplines come. Maharishi described his method of experiencing and living pure Consciousness as a natural, simple, and do-it-yourself mental technique that settles all activity of the mind, giving very deep rest while one remains awake and alert. The technique is called Transcendental Meditation.
A Tradition of Knowledge
Having the assembly in India, which is the land of the Veda, is the ideal place for this course which will feature expressions of Knowledge from ancient times.
Maharishi’s life’s work revived and de-mystified traditional Vedic knowledge through the lens of modern science. He knew that the objective scientific approach had no way of accounting for the knowledge of the observer, looking only outward to understand life. And so he introduced a subjective scientific approach, using the same fundamental principles applied to a reliable, repeatable experience of pure consciousness. In other words, a scientific approach to understanding life by looking inward. More
